Americans for Veterans (“AFV”) provides and maintains a website at http://americansforveterans.org to provide a helping hand to returning veterans in need and ready to transition to a civilian life (the “Web Site”).  You acknowledge that, in exchange for access to the information available on the Web Site, and ability to participate in programs offered on the Web Site, you are bound by the following terms and conditions set forth in these Terms and Conditions.  AFV may amend or change these Terms and Conditions, at any time, without notice to you.  Therefore, you must consult the most recent version of these Terms and Conditions (and not an older cached version) each time you visit the Web Site.  Use of this Web Site constitutes your acceptance of all of the following terms and conditions, in their current form or as modified.

No Endorsement

You acknowledge that the information, opinions, and content contained on this Web Site are not necessarily always those of AFV or endorsed by AFV.  AFV provides links to other third-party websites.  The links are provided for convenience only and are not intended as an endorsement by AFV of the information contained on the third-party website, or a warranty of any type of the third-party website.  The Web Site may also contain links to news stories related to veterans carried by newspapers, and videos and audio of news stories related to veterans run on television, the internet, or other forms of media.  Such news stories do not necessarily reflect the opinions or recommendations of AFV.

Assignment

You assign, and grant all right, title and interest to AFV to gather, process, analyze, and retain any of the information you voluntarily supply during your use of the Web Site.  You consent to the disclosure by AFV of any of this other information to third party entities in accordance with the Privacy Policy posted on this Web Site, and incorporated herein by this reference.  You consent to the aggregation of your non-identifying information with like information from other people, and  consent to the release of such aggregated information  to other parties, including but not limited to the sponsors and third party service providers of AFV. You agree that AFV may mail you or email you, information about AFV programs and events.

Content Usage

Unless otherwise indicated, all information contained on this Web Site, such as text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, and audio clips is owned by or licensed by AFV, and is copyrighted and proprietary material of AFV, and may not be copied, reproduced, transmitted, displayed, distributed, sublicensed, altered, stored for subsequent use or otherwise used in whole or in part in any manner without AFV’s prior written consent, except that you may make such temporary copies as are necessary to browse the Web Site. You may also make a single copy of the content displayed on any page of the Web Site to be used by you for personal and noncommercial uses which do not harm the reputation of the AFV, provided that you not remove any trademarks, copyright and any other notice contained in such content.  AFV reserves all other rights not granted herein.  You may not sell, modify, redistribute, put on another Web Site or otherwise publicly display or publicly perform, or use for any commercial purpose, any materials or information obtained from the Web Site without AFV’s express written consent.

User Conduct on Forums

You understand that all materials and content, including but not limited to your data, graphics, or messages, which are posted publicly by you on any of the chat rooms, message boards or other public forums that may found on the Web Site, or linked to the Web Site, are the sole responsibility of the person from which such content originated. AFV disclaims all risks and liabilities for all materials and information that you post, email, transmit or otherwise make available via the Web Site.  You may not use the Web Site to upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any material that infringes any intellectual property or other proprietary right of any party, or that would otherwise violate any law.  You may not post material that solicits funds, advertises or solicits for goods and services, and otherwise make available any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, “junk mail,” “spam,” “chain letters,” or any other form of solicitation.  You may not use the Web Site to make available any material that contains software viruses or any other harmful computer code, files or programs.  You may not use the Web Site to post material that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable.  You may not post material known to be false, misleading or deceptive.  You may not violate any applicable local, state, national or international law.  You may not “stalk” or otherwise harass any other user or otherwise collect or store personal data about other users.  For your own safety, please do not post personal information such as phone numbers, addresses or any other private information.

AFV retains the right, but not the obligation, in its sole discretion to refuse, edit, or delete any materials posted on the Web Site that AFV considers infringing, abusive, offensive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise unacceptable by AFV.  However, you bear all risks associated with, the use of any materials, including any reliance on the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of such materials posted on the Web Site.

You acknowledge and agree that AFV may preserve your posted materials and may also disclose your materials and data if required to do so by law.

User Submissions

By submitting communications or content to any part of this Web Site where such content would be viewable by the public (e.g. posting on a public forum/bulletin board or public chat or other public communication), you agree that such submission is non-confidential for all purposes. Any submission to this Web Site will be deemed and remain the property of AFV. Termination

You agree that AFV, in its sole discretion, may terminate your access to the Web Site, and remove and discard any of your materials posted on the Web Site, for any reason.  You agree that AFV may terminate your access without any prior notice.  If you do not wish to receive any emails or materials from AFV, you may choose to opt out at:

This Website (including linked sites) may be accessed from the United States of America, as well as from other countries around the world.  THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, AND YOUR USE AND ACCESS OF THE WEB SITE IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA, WITHOUT REGARD TO ITS CONFLICT OF LAWS RULES.  AFV makes no representation that materials on the Web Site are appropriate or available for use in locations outside the United States of America, and accessing them from territories where their contents are illegal is prohibited. Those who choose to access this Web Site from other countries do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
